I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - RiseNY

We were given complimentary tickets to RiseNY for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: RiseNY

Where:160 W. 45th St.
           New York, NY

Who: All ages

Me - RiseNY was really fun. It was very unique. It was very different than the other places I've been to. It was like a combination of a museum and a ride. It was very interactive. I liked that because it makes it more fun and attention-grabbing. They had models of the tallest buildings in New York and information about them like the time period when they were the tallest and how tall they were and other information. They had a section about TV shows that took place in New York. They had an Oscar from Sesame Street that popped out of his trash can. They had the Friends couch. They also had information about other New York-based shows like Law & Order and Saturday Night Live.

The ride was at the end of the exhibit. It made it seem like you were flying above the city during New Year's Eve. It was fun to be part of New Year's in New York City even if it was only for pretend. It was pretty looking out over the City like that. All in all, it's really a great exhibit that you won't want to miss

Mom - RiseNY is a one-kind attraction that consists of an immersive experience, a museum, and a ride all in one place. You start with a film that makes you feel like you are in the middle of some of New York's most well-known places and attractions. The middle part of the exhibit is a museum that takes you through New York's history there are sections on the tallest buildings, New York set TV shows, Broadway, and more. Your visit ends with a simulated ride over the City and back in time to celebrate New Year's Eve 1957/1958 in Times Square.

While the majority of RiseNY is open to all ages, for safety reasons the ride is only open to guests 40" or taller. There is also a maximum weight limit of 260  pounds per seat on the ride. However, if a member of your party is over 260 pounds, and you notify them in advance they can adjust seating on the ride to accommodate your party safely. You are definitely going to want to experience this exciting new venue for yourself if you can.

And that's our view. For more information or to book your timed tickets, visit

Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday.
