I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Theater Thursday: Big Apple Circus 2022

We were given complimentary tickets to The Big Apple Circus for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: Big Apple Circus

Where: Damrosch Park
             Amsterdam Ave & W. 62nd St.
             New York, NY

Who: All ages

When: Through January 1, 2022

Me- The Big Apple Circus was fun. I have always enjoyed it, and this year's version was just as good as previous years' versions. My favorite act was the dog act. The dogs were really cute. I couldn't believe how young the dog trainer was. She was younger than me. She makes me feel inadequate and underaccomplished. Another favorite act of mine was The Wallenda's highwire act. They do some really cool tricks. All in all,  The Big Apple Circus was as full of spectacular performances as ever, and I really enjoyed it.

Mom- The Big Apple Circus has returned to New York City for another season of fun-filled performances. This year's roster is mostly full of exciting new performers. Only a few familiar performers from last year's lineup have returned including the headliners, The Flying Wallendas. Although the latter didn't do their most famous trick this year, their act is still full of amazing death-defying tricks and fully worthy of their prime position as the show's closers.

As usual, the show had its unique touches including a female juggler, a 13-year-old dog trainer, and a dwarf ringmaster. Another notable fact about this year's show is that all the acts were solo performers except for The Wallendas. For the second year in a row voiceovers at the beginning of each performance gave the audience a closer look at each of the performers and their lives and how they came to join the circus.  All in all, this year's edition of The Big Apple Circus was as entertaining as ever and a great place to take the whole family.
