If your house is as hot as our house is as we sit and wait for our broken air conditioner to be fixed, I am sure you can use something to take your mind off the heat. We are giving away a copy of the Original Broadway Cast Recording of the musical, Anastasia*. Anastasia the Musical based on the familiar animated movie of the same name is not exactly the same as the movie. For our view of the show, Anastasia go to Theater Thursday: Anastasia. The show does include the songs from the movie, however, plus a bunch more that were written by the same song-writing team Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty specifically for the stage musical. Ahrens and Flaherty also wrote the songs for a number of other Broadway Musical including Ragtime, Seussical, Once on This Island (which is currently scheduled for a Broadway revival) and last year's short lived Rocky musical. DeleteAs strange as it sounds I would love to have Shrek the musical. I loved Sutton Foster in that musical and it's one of the only musicals I've gotten my mother to watch (and she liked it!).
