I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Great Shows for at Great Prices at
20at20
March 28th – April 16th
Tickets to Off Broadway’s Hottest Shows will be steeply
discounted to just $20,
20 minutes before curtain, making theater accessible at one
incredibly low price.

The Off Broadway Alliance has announced that it will be bringing back  20at20, the bi-annual celebration of Off Broadway that steeply discounts tickets to Off  Broadway shows. The program begins March 28th and continues through April 16th, making $20 tickets available for more than 40 Off Broadway plays and musicals, twenty minutes prior to curtain. Now, in its 11th year, 20at20 has become one of New York’s most eagerly anticipated promotions, making live, up-close-and-personal, up-to-the-minute, and classical theater accessible to everyone.

Available shows include:

Comedies like:

Baghdaddy
Figaro 90120

Dramas like:

Perfect Crime

Musicals like:

The Marvelous Wonderettes
The Fantasticks
Avenue Q
As mentioned above, one of the shows available as part of the 20at20 promotion is Shear Madness. Shear Madness is a hilarious interactive murder mystery. If you hear murder mystery and you think of something scary and gory, it is not like that at all. In fact, the murder doesn't even take place on stage and you never even see the victim.  It is not a show for small children, however, older children (tweens and above) and adults would enjoy this greatly entertaining show. For more about Shear Madness see our previous post Theater Thursday - Shear Madness. If you live in or will be travelling to the New York area on or before May 30, 2017,  and you would like to win  a pair of tickets to this really enjoyable show, enter below.
