I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - New Jersey Jackals

What: New Jersey Jackals

Where: Yogi Berra Stadium
            One Hall Drive
            Little Falls, NJ

Who: Everyone

Our view: The New Jersey Jackals are an independent league baseball team in the Can-Am League, a league with teams in the U.S and Canada as the name suggests. They play their games at Yogi Berra Stadium. The stadium is located right on the campus of Montclair  State University. The stadium is fairly small, but tickets are inexpensive at $11.00 for box seats, $9.00 for bleacher seats, and $5.00 for standing room only seats. None of the seats have obstructed view. Bleacher seats are very hard and very uncomfortable. Standing room tickets do not actually require standing. They are lawn seats.  These are particularly nice if you go to the game with young children who are going to want to run around. They are also more comfortable than bleacher seats. The downside is that standing room tickets are not sold until box and bleacher seats are sold out. The season runs from mid May to early September. Games are 7:05pm weekdays, 6:35pm Saturdays and 2:05pm Sundays with the occassional weekday matinees at 11:05am. One of the nicest things about the stadium is that it is located right next to the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center. In tribute to Yogi Berra all dimensions of the field end in his number 8 and no Jackal player can ever wear his number as it is retired along with two other numbers, one for a former Jackal player, and one for a former Jackal player and coach. And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for another Talking Topic.
