I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

TheaterThursday - Lean-To

We received complimentary tickets to Lean-To for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: Lean-To

Where: 59E59 Theaters
             59 E. 59 St.
             New York, NY

Who: Recommended for ages 13 and up due to adult content and brief partial nudity

When: Through October 10, 2026

A couple of novice hikers' relatively new relationship is forever altered after they spend the night in the woods with a much more experienced hiker. This show is poignant, funny, and sometimes even a little bit shocking. Although all three performers are quite good in their roles,  Larisa Olyenik stands out as the hopeful and enthusiastic Yvonne, whose emotions are written all over her face. Kudos to the set, sound, and lighting designers as well, who do an excellent job of invoking that feeling of being out in the woods.

And that's our view. For more about Lean-To or to purchase tickets, visit www.59e59.org/shows/show-detail/lean-to.

Tune in Sunday for this week's Sunday Scoop.
