Sharon races home from school a couple days after her 8th birthday to beat her teenaged brother Spikey to the last slice of birthday cake. When she enters the kitchen, she finds her mother wielding a knife. As the Sheriff escorts her mother away, the deputy tells Sharon that her mama is “not right in the head.” Crazy Mama is a one-woman tour-de-force about a woman’s decades-long dream of saving her mother from the soul-crushing grip of mental illness.

9) Memoirs of Amorous Gentlemen
Sophia Anne Caruso is an award-winning actress, singer, and songwriter whose work across stage, screen, and music has established her as one of her generation's most singular creative voices. She first gained widespread recognition for originating the iconic role of Lydia Deetz in Broadway's Beetlejuice. Her acclaimed theater credits also include David Bowie's Lazarus at New York Theatre Workshop and on London's West End, Blackbird on Broadway, The Nether at MCC Theater, and Grey House on Broadway. On screen, she starred in Netflix's The School for Good and Evil alongside Charlize Theron and Kerry Washington. What people might not know about the original “Moulin Rouge” is that one of the club’s highest-paid performers during the 1890s was a man named Joseph Pujol, who was a sensation turning flatulence into high art. Using the stage name Le Pétomane (derived from the French verb péter, meaning "to fart," combined with “mane,” meaning "maniac"), Pujol possessed an extraordinary ability to control his abdominal and sphincter muscles, allowing him to inhale air through his anus and release it at will. At the peak of his career, Pujol’s performances—which were musical and comedic rather than purely vulgar—drew massive crowds, including members of the England’s Royal Family and intellectual figures like Sigmund Freud. Pujol’s acts included mimicking cannon fire, thunder, and musical instruments, and blowing out lit candles from several yards away using directed air bursts from his anus.

In her latest cabaret offering, “The Cabaret Files,” Lorna Dallas revisits musical moments she essayed during those ten years following her return, some of which haven’t been performed in a club since 2016, while also introducing a handful of selections that were arranged for her over the years by her ace production team, musical director Christopher Denny and director Barry Kleinbort, but, for one reason or another, never made the final cut. “The Cabaret Files” is a pleasurable reunion, including imaginatively arranged gems by Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Jerry Herman, James Taylor, and a favorite of Ms. Dallas’, the British composer, Ivor Novello.

Celebrate fall in Bucks County with one of the region's largest arts shows and outdoor festivals. The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce presents the 32nd Annual New Hope Arts and Crafts Festival on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27, 2026, at New Hope–Solebury High School, 180 W. Bridge Street, in New Hope, Pennsylvania. More than 160 juried fine artists and craftspeople will exhibit works across media including oil paintings, watercolors, pastels, sculpture, fine and fun jewelry, ceramics, woodwork, fiber, wearable art, glass, photography, outsider art, mixed media, and more. The weekend will also feature food trucks, live music throughout both days, kids’ activities, and hands-on demonstrations. Musical entertainment will set the soundtrack for a weekend filled with creativity and community spirit. Food vendors will include Aroi Mango, Coastal Flavors, Viva Mexico, Justin's Joint, Nessie Tea and Traveling Tom's Coffee. Admission is a five dollar donation. The Festival takes place at the New Hope–Solebury High School parking lot, just a short walk from the center of New Hope’s vibrant business district. Philly AIDS Thrift brings back their beloved block party and fall festival with a full day of no-charge, family and fido friendly fun! Philly AIDS Thrift 21st Anniversary Block Party will take place outside the iconic store on the 700 blocks of S. 5th Street and E. Passyunk Avenue (between Bainbridge St. and Monroe St.) on Saturday, September 26th, with the streets opening at 12:00pm and closing at 6:00pm. This South Philly charity invites the community to join in a day of music, live performances, food trucks, pie-eating contest, artists and makers, local vendors, games and other festivities. Launches “In Conversation” Series
Presented by American Theater Group and Union Arts Center
New periodic series features live conversations with prominent artists
American Theater Group (ATG), in partnership with the Union Arts Center, will launch a new In Conversation live event series with special guest Tony Danza at the DMK Black Box Theater at the Union Arts Center on Mon. Sept. 28 th at 7pm.
The evening will be moderated by ATG’s new Producing Artistic Director Charlotte Cohn, who will engage Danza in discussions about how he got his start, past roles, working in the entertainment business and what lies ahead for the star. Attendees can expect anecdotes about his life and career along with advice for aspiring artists. The evening will include a short Q & A.

The Royal Shakespeare Company culminates its residency with a look into the rehearsal room, and a script-in-hand performance of Shakespeare’s tragic masterpiece. Across the ten-day residency, students will work closely with RSC Associate Learning Practitioners and industry artists to explore, interpret, and stage their own version of one of Shakespeare’s most iconic tragedies, Hamlet. All are welcome for a look inside the rehearsal room with one of the world’s foremost Shakespearean theater companies.

30) Ramp Announces Industrial Musical BILL PAY THE MUSICAL on Broadway
About the Show
Ramp is bringing fintech to Broadway for one night only with Bill Pay The Musical, a fully staged, original musical comedy celebrating Ramp Bill Pay.
It is a show about bills and starring Bills, created for the finance leaders who make sure the bills get paid and the show goes on. The production will star Billy Porter (Emmy, Tony, Grammy award winner) and Billy Zane (Titanic, The Phantom) and feature original music, sharp comedy, and playful references to Ramp’s AI-powered bill pay product.
Why is Ramp doing this?
Bill Pay The Musical began with a simple belief: paying bills should not require this much drama. So Ramp made it a Broadway musical instead.
The production brings Ramp’s signature sense of humor to the stage. The company has previously turned financial operations into unexpected cultural moments through campaigns including Brian's Office, Funeral for the Penny, and Brian’s Hair.
The show also draws on the long history of industrial musicals: elaborate theatrical productions companies once created to introduce products, motivate employees and tell their stories. Bill Pay The Musical reimagines that tradition for the AI era.
