I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Books: The One That Got Away & Movie: Twisted Vines

We may have been given complimentary copies and/or access for review purposes to any products, and/or visual or audio media mentioned below. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Books: The One That Got Away

Today we are recommending The One That Got Away. Clara and Benjamin seemed destined to be together from the night the first met in the pub. After two years together, a tragic event tears them apart.  Still even after even twenty years have passed and Clara has married someone else, she still can't get Benjamin out of her mind.

This is a bittersweet love story. Although the characters can be annoying at times doing or saying absolutely the wrong things and you feel like if they just would have talked about it things would not have gotten out of hand. However, that wouldn't have made for an exciting story. Plus their actions are relatable to how others in similar situations would probably react. Even if you can't relate to everything that happens to them, you can relate to the emotions they are feeling that make them react in the ways they do. This makes the story even more poignant. In fact, it might even make you cry at times especially if you are a very sensitive reader.

Movies: Twisted Vines

Today we are talking about Twisted Vines. Twisted Vines is a movie about a group of people who are gathered at a vineyard for a wedding when a series of murders occur. This is a very confusing film. There are a lot of characters, and they are not explained very well so it is hard to keep track of them and what is going on. The acting is decent and the scenery is pretty. However, the most interesting thing about the film is the unique way in which it is solved through sense of smell but not a dog's sense of smell which would not have been that unique or interesting but a person's.

This film is available on Video on Demand today.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
