I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

More Theater Monday - The Trouble With Dead Boyfriends

We were given complimentary tickets to The Trouble With Dead Boyfriends for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: The Trouble With Dead Boyfriends

Where: The Players Theatre
            115 MacDougal
             New York, NY

Who: Recommended for Ages 15 and Up

When: Through July 16, 2023

This story about three girls in love with a vampire, a ghost, and a zombie respectively is strictly for fans of the monster genre and those who don't really mind a little gore and a lot of physical comedy. The acting is mostly good. Stephanie Hawkins and Patrick Swailes Caldwell do a particularly nice job in a  variety of roles. The actors in the roles of the three lead female characters, Heather Swayer, Alia Cuadros-Contreras, and Zoe Dean, have really nice singing voices, and their harmonies were a highlight of the show. Yet, on the whole, the songs were not that memorable, and the plot mostly revolves around a lot of stupid humor. However, if you don't mind the latter, you may enjoy this show.
