Where-To-Go Wednesday - The Museum of Failure

We were given complimentary tickets to the Museum of Failure for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Me - The Museum of Failure was really interesting. It was a very unique museum. I had never seen anything like it.  Usually, things that are showcased in museums are successes and not failures. 

I really liked getting to see Watson the robot that beat Ken Jennings on Jeopardy. They also had a model of a De Lorean car. That was cool because I remember it from Back to the Future. There was a whole wall of different flavored Oreos. Some of the flavors sounded gross. Others actually sounded like they would taste good. There was lasagna made by Colgate. Even though it didn't have any toothpaste in it, it just sounds gross. Overall,  I got to see a lot of strange and interesting products, and visiting the museum was a very enjoyable experience.

Mom - The Museum of Failure is a unique and exciting new museum. It is quite interesting to see the vast array of innovative products and more that were unsuccessful for one reason or another. The museum includes products that failed for a wide variety of different reasons. There are products that just didn't quite make sense like Heinz's colored ketchup and Febreze's Scent Stories that were supposed to combine music and smells. There are products that didn't quite work the way they were supposed to like the notorious ET video game. There were even products that were downright dangerous like Thalidomide, Rely tampons, and lawn darts

There is a good chance that you may remember and perhaps even have had or know someone who had some of the products in the exhibit. There are also many products that you probably never heard of.  There is extensive information regarding every object at the museum that you can read or scan on your phone. If you chose to read every bit of information, it can take you at least an hour or more to get through the museum even though it is only of moderate size. However, it is all so fascinating that you will probably want to.
