The Red Ear Blows Its Nose by Robert Schechter is a
delightfully entertaining book of poetry. Schechter's
style of poetry is very similar to that of beloved author
and poet, Shel Silverstein. If you are looking for a good
book to read with your kids this summer, The Red Ear Blows
Its Nose is a great choice. However, you don't have to be
a kid to enjoy this really fun book. For more about this

My favorite fun poem to read alone has to be "Jabberwocky" by Lewis Carroll. The nonsense words, the rhythm, and the vivid imagery always bring a smile to my face. It's like embarking on a mini adventure every time I read it. I particularly enjoy trying to imagine what each of Carroll's invented words could mean. It's a delightful reminder of the power of language and imagination to create an entirely unique, whimsical world.
ReplyDeleteYes, that's a great choice. Thanks for visiting Says Me Says Mom and your comment.
DeleteIt sounds like I'm copying Kasi, but "Jabberwocky" is a great poem. I'm also a fan of Shel Silverstein's work in "Where the Sidewalk Ends."
