I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Theater Thursday - Wilmington Blue Rocks

We were given complimentary tickets to the Wilmington Blue Rocks for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: Wilmington Blue Rocks

Where: Daniel S. Frawley Stadium
             801 Shipyard Drive
             Wilmington, DE

Who: All ages

When: See schedule (last home game of the season September 11, 2022)

Me- I had fun at the Wilmington Blue Rocks game. I like their colors and their logo. I would have loved their mascot and also been afraid of it when I was little. I was terrified of mascots when I was little.

I was glad that we went on Bark in the Park night because there were a lot of cute dogs. They were giving away shirts with paw prints and baseball card sets that had all pictures of dogs on them. They even played a game with the dogs, Musical Sit. The last dog to sit was out and the final dog left was the winner.

The food was good. I wish they had another ice cream besides dippin' dots though. It tasted okay but, I just prefer other ice creams.

The game went by really fast. The Blue Rocks didn't do really well. They lost to the Jersey Shore Blue Claws by a score of 8-1. I feel like most of the time when we go to a game the home team loses. However, I still enjoyed the game and visiting the Blue Rocks Stadium.

Mom -  A visit to the Wilmington Blue Rocks is quite an enjoyable way to spend an evening with the family. Located in downtown Wilmington, it's fairly easy to get to. Not only that, there is actually free parking available in the stadium's lot, which is not only a delightful relief for a parent's overused wallet but a true rarity in the world of family entertainment venues.

Once you step inside the stadium, every person you interact with is friendly and pleasant.  You can easily find your seats, and no matter where you sit, there is not a bad view. There is plenty of delicious food to choose from and prices are pretty similar to what you find in other stadiums.

In addition to the game. there is plenty of on-field entertainment to enjoy between innings. Kids will love Rocky Bluewinkle the big moose mascot and older folks may get a nostalgic kick out of his name reminiscent of a couple of favorite old cartoon characters.

Regular promotions this season include Sunday Family Fun Day when families can have a pregame on-the-field catch and kids can run the bases after the game, Tuesday Tshirt days and Bark in the Park, and more. There are plenty of daily promotions and giveaways as well including a commemorative baseball giveaway night and a Wizardy Night.  All in all, whether or not the team wins, a Wilmington Blue Rocks game is a great choice for a fun day (or evening) out with the family.

And that's our view. For more about the Blue Rocks, to find out more about upcoming promotions and giveaways, and/or to purchase tickets to a future game, visit www.milb.com/wilmington

Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday
