I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Eight Fun Zoos in the Tri-State Area

We just love zoos and we have been to a quite a lot of them. Here are some of our favorites in the Tri-State area.

Me - Here are four fun zoos in the Tri-State area

1- Popcorn Park Zoo - The Popcorn is a zoo in Forked River, NJ. They have a lot of animals that have been rescued from other places.  They also have dogs and cats you can adopt.

For more about the Popcorn Park Zoo see our previous post Where-To-Go Wednesday - Popcorn Park Zoo  or visit ahscares.org/popcorn-park.

2- Turtle Back Zoo - The Turtle Back Zoo is a really fun zoo to visit. It is one of the biggest if not the biggest zoos in NJ.

For more about the Turtle Back Zoo, see our previous post Where-To-Go Wednesday - The Turtle Back Zoo or visit turtlebackzoo.com.

3- Philadelphia Zoo - The Philadelphia Zoo is a really big zoo. It was America's first zoo. They have sleepovers. They also have exploration trails which are tunnels all over the zoo so the animals can roam around and people can observe them.

4 - Bronx Zoo- The Bronx Zoo is probably one of the biggest and most famous zoos in the world. They have so much to do and see there and lots of special activities.

For more information, see our previous post Where-To-Go Wednesday - The Bronx Zoo or visit bronxzoo.com

Mom - Here are four more fun zoos in the Tri-State area

5- Central Park Zoo - The Central Park Zoo is a smaller zoo located within Central Park. There is a also a fun children's zoo, Tisch Children's Zoo which is part  of the zoo. It is part zoo and part playground. Although the Tisch Children's Zoo is part of the Central Park Zoo, they are not right next to each other, but they are not too far from each other either.

For more information see our previous posts Where-To-Go Wednesday - The Central Park Zoo and the Tisch Children's Zoo or visit centralparkzoo.com.

6- Prospect Park  Zoo - The Prospect Park Zoo is a small zoo in Brooklyn that is similar to the Central Park Zoo, but without the children's zoo.

For more information, see our previous post Where-To-Go Wednesday - Prospect Park Zoo or visit prospectparkzoo.com.

7- Queens Zoo - The Queens Zoo is also similar to the Central Park Zoo and the Prospect Park Zoo but it includes a large section of farm animals.

For more information, see our previous post Where-To-Go Wednesday - The Queens Zoo or visit queenszoo.com

8- Six Flags Wild Safari- Six Flags Wild Safari is not strictly a zoo, but it is a great place to see animals. You can also get a lot closer to the animals as you ride around in your car there than at most zoos.

For more information, see our previous post Where-To-Go Wednesday - Six Flags Wild Safari or visit www.sixflags.com/greatadventure/things-to-do/animal-attractions

And that's our view. What's your favorite zoo?

Tune in tomorrow for Tips for Tuesday.
