I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Fun Facts About Colors

Here are some fun facts about colors. These are also the colors you can find in an original 8-box Crayola Crayon set.

Black

Although Black cats are sometimes thought of as unlucky, they were given as wedding presents in the English Midlands, and in Japan, single women with black cats were thought to attract more suitors.

Blue

Blue is the least common color found in foods.

Brown

In Japan, they don't have a word for Brown

Green

Green is used for night vision goggles because human eyes are most sensitive to that color and therefore, we can distinguish the most shades of it.

Orange

During Elizabethan times only the nobility was allowed to wear orange.

Red

Seeing the color red can actually make your heart beat faster.

Violet

Although humans often can't differentiate between violet and purple, there are many animals that can.

Yellow

Yellow has a stimulating affect on the mind, therefore is a good color for a room used for studying.

What fun facts about colors do you know?

Tune in tomorrow for Tips for Tuesday.
