I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

The creators. of Desperate Measures, the hilarious take on Shakespeare's Measure for Measure,  are at it again. This time, they are taking on The Odyssey. In their new show, Penelope, or How the Odyssey Was  Really Written, they fantasize that the Odyssey was written in the form of letters by Penelope, Odysseus's long-suffering wife. She writes the letters to herself pretending they are from her husband in order to fend off a gaggle of suitors who relentlessly pursue her assuming her husband is never coming home. Although this new show is not quite as hilarious as the former show, it is still very funny. The plot is interesting and amusing. It has some nice songs including the engaging opening number, She's Gonna Be Mine. and the sweet-sounding, Penelope, a barbershop quartet style number sung by the four suitors. The performances are all very good as well.  All in all, it's just a fun show. However. if you want to see this show, you better hurry as there are only three performances left!
