I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Roebling Museum

What:
Roebling Museum

Where: 100 2nd. Ave
              Roebling, NJ

Who: All ages

The Roebling family is probably best known for the design and construction of the Brooklyn Bridge. However, they were also involved with other great technological developments of their day including telegraphs, telephones, ships, airplanes, and more. Additionally, they were the founders of  the town of Roebling, New Jersey where they not only built their family named steel mill, but a whole town for all their workers, whom they treated quite well, too.

The Roebling Museum is located at the site of the former Roebling Steel Mill. At the museum, not only can you learn everything you ever wanted to know about the building of the Brooklyn Bridge, but everything about the Roebling family, their town, and much much more

The museum is very neatly organized into very specific sections. Each section revolves around a different theme including bridges built by the Roeblings, factory life at the Roebling Steel Mill, family life at the Roebling Mill, and more. Thus, although there is quite a lot of information, objects, artifacts, and more located in the museum, it is not too overwhelming. This also makes it easy to skip to a particular area if you are especially interested in a topic. We recommend going through the entire museum, however, because it's all very fascinating, and you will definitely learn a lot of interesting things at the Roebling Museum.

And that's our view. For more information about the Roebling Museum, visit www.roeblingmuseum.org
