I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Mom- Two River Theater Company continues their run through August Wilson's American Century Cycle with their sixth presentation of one of his shows. This season they are presenting Radio Golf, Wilson's tenth and final play. The show set in in 1997 revolves around a real estate developer named Harmond Wilks who is running to be the first black mayor of Pittsburgh while at the same time trying to revitalize the Hill District, a plan which hinges on tearing down a historic house. The house once belonged to Aunt Ester who is an important character in the other plays in the cycle. While you don't necessarily have to be familiar with Aunt Ester or the other plays in the cycle to understand what is going on in this play, it certainly doesn't hurt and it might give you a little more background to and understanding of the story than those of us who are not familiar with those plays. However, even without that background knowledge, the story is interesting and  easy to follow. The acting is good all around. All in all, it is a good show. Accordingly, whether this show is your introduction to Wilson's shows or an addition to his show's that you have already seen, it is a show worth seeing.

And that's Mom's view. For more information about August Wilson's Radio Golf or to purchase tickets, visit https://tworivertheater.org/whats-on/augustwilsonsradiogolf.
