I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Giveaway: Win a copy of The Art of Drawing Dangles: Creating Decorative Letters and Art with Charms in the Snow Much Fun Giveaway Hop!

Welcome to the Snow Much Fun Giveaway Hop hosted by MamatheFox

One of the reprecussions of the Coronavirus crisis is that we are all being forced to spend a lot more time at home. While there are upsides to spending more time at home, there are downsides as well. One of the downsides is boredom. That's why we are giving away this fun book the Art of Drawing Dangles: Creating Decorative Letters and Art with Charms by Olivia A. Kneibler. If you like art,  instead of being bored, you can spend your time learning to draw fun dangles and charms. Even with the book, these drawings are not easy to make so  I would not recommend it for young children who may get frustrated nor is it going to make somebody who has no talent for art into a great artists. However, for an older child or adult who does not get frustrated easily and/or has a talent for art, it might be fun to try this book or  it might even be fun just to look at all the fun patterns and drawings in the book even if you have no talent for art and/or do not intend to draw them. For more about this book, see our previous post Tips for Tuesday: The Art of Drawing Dangles: Creating Decorative Letters and Art with Charms. To win a copy of this book, enter below.

  1. Re: your question on how I'm coping, and/or what I miss about life "before."
...I'll probably be better able to address this tomorrow, or maybe the day after that. Right now, I just have so many thoughts and emotions going on. I'm so heartbroken for my sister and her fiancee, who told us that they will be canceling their wedding. They are an absolutely solid couple, and appear to be taking this all in stride, but I imagine that they are heartbroken as well.

  5. My husband is 72 and I am 67. We have been in the house self quarantined since Friday. Our 2 children have been wonderful bringing us groceries and meds that we need. We are so lucky to have them but also worry about them and their families. Just so scary. I hope everyone is safe and well!

    1. You are definitely lucky to have them. I have been in my house with my husband and children, but I worry about friends who live along and live faraway. Thank you for taking the time to visit Says Me Says Mom and comment.

    1. It has been really difficult. I am not used to being home so much. I spent a lot of time in New York City and now so many people are dying especially there. Doing the normal things like keeping with the blog and reading other people's blogs or whatever helps because these things are within our control. We thank you for taking the time to vist our blog and comment. Stay well.

    1. It's good that you still get to spend time with your family. It is nice to at least be stuck in with my husband and daughters. My husband still works though because he works at the supermarket. Thanks for visiting Says Me Says Mom and your comment. Stay well!

  10. We are coping pretty well - aside from having to run to the store once a week for fruits/veggies, milk and bread. Was always one who had a few extras on hand with couponing within our limits and before all this. And always enjoy staying home - being a mom taxi was my main job!
