I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday: Books: DAWGS : A True Story of Lost Animals and the Kids Who Rescued Them, Misc.: Hair Food Smoothing Avocado and Argan Hair Oil

We may have been given a complimentary copy of one or more of the books and/or other products listed below for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Books: DAWGS: A True Story of Lost Animals and the Kids Who Rescued Them

Me - Today I am recommending DAWGS: A True Story of Lost Animals and the Kids Who Rescued Them by Diane Trull and Meredith Wargo. An innocent question from her fourth grade students about what would happen to some stray dogs if they weren't adopted, led Diane Trull and her students to open their own no-kill dog shelter. This is their story. Reading this book is like an emotional journey. One minute you are filled with happiness and joy at the actions of these kids and the people who helped them save so many innocent animals. In the next, you are angry and sad because of  the City Officials who fought against them at every turn even when they were claiming to help. These people were perfectly okay with solving the homeless pet problem by killing unclaimed animals, but Diane and her kids weren't go to let that happen. Ultimately, the book is very inspirational. It shows that anyone even children can make a positive difference in the world. If you care about animals, you will love this book.

Misc.: Hair Food

Mom - Today I am recommending Hair Food Smoothing Avocado  & Argan  Hair Oil. Although this product doesn't completely remove frizz, it does make your hair a lot smoother and shiner. It is sulfate free. It is paraben free. It is dye free. It even smells good!

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for What-To-Do Wednesday which will take the place of Where-To-Go Wednesday until the Coronavirus crisis is hopefully over.
