I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Mom's view: The 31st Annual Festival of New Musicals was recently held at New York's New World Stage. This two day festival brings together a selection of new musicals in various stages of development and a variety of industry professionals with the ability to help those shows take the next step forward. The calibre of talent on display at this event is incredible both from the creators behind these new musicals and the performers who appear in them. While we can't say that much specifically about the shows that appeared in the festival because they are still in development, we can say that they represented a wide variety of genres including comedy, biographical drama, gothic dramedy and more. Perfomers who participated in this year's event included Jenn Colella, who is currently starring in Come From Away on Broadway; Jorrel Javier, who is currently starring in The Lightening Thief on Broadway; and Erika Henningsen who is currently starring in Mean Girls on Broadway. This is definitely a festival that leaves you wanting to see more especially since only a portion of each musical is performed leaving both the performers and the audience members wanting to know how they turn out so hopefully they'll all receive full productions someday soon. Some have even been picked up for full regional theater productions already so you might be seeing one at a theatre near you soon!

And that's Mom's view. Tune in tomorrow for this week's Sunday Scoop.
