I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Book: Postcards from Santa Claus & Misc: Welcome-a-Cure Mat

We may have been given one or more of the books or other products mentioned below for review purpsoes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Books: Postcards from Santa Claus

Mom - Today I am recommending Postcards from Santa Claus by Robert C. Hoffman. This fun holiday related book uses postcards to trace the history of Santa Claus and how the way his image has been portrayed has changed with the times. It is also full of other interesting facts about  Santa Claus and Christmas in general. It includes fascinating information regarding how the idea of Santa Claus developed, how other holiday traditions started, and much more. There is also a lot of fun trivia as well, such as, the name for Santa Claus in other languages, and a list of Santa Claus related movies. Famous holiday poems, including arguably the most famous of all, A Visit from Saint Nicholas, are also found in this book. The book is a really entertaining read and would be the perfect addition to anyone's holiday season.
