I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Museum of Ilusions

We were given free tickets to the Museum of Ilusions for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed are our own.

What: The Museum of Illusions

Where: 77 8th Ave.
             New York, NY

Who: All Ages

Me - The Museum of Illusions was really fun. It was very interactive and enjoyable. I am a big fan of optical illusions, and they had a lot of those there. In fact, there were mostly optical illusions. There was one you looked through one end and the other person looked through the other end and you could see a pattern of the other person's face. There was a place where you could look down, and it looked like a deep well. It was cool. There was a room where the floor was tilted. I enjoyed it because I don't really get dizzy. However, some people might not like that particular exhibit if  they do get dizzy. There was also a room where one side of the room was taller than the other so it makes you look taller or shorter depending where you are standing in the room. It reminded me of Alice in Wonderland. There were a few illusions that we couldn't really figure out, but most of the illusions we figured out and enjoyed. Some of the illusions I feel like I have seen other places, but a lot of them were things I don't think I have ever seen before. The museum does not look very big, but it actually takes longer than you would expect to go through. There are quite a lot of exhibits. I had a really great time at the Museum of Illusions, and I would highly recommend it.

Mom - The Museum of Ilusions is a great place to to go. It is not a museum where you go and just look at exhibits. It is extremely interactive. There is an area with a lot of mirrors where you can sit down, and it looks like you are playing cards with yourself. There is an infinity room with walls covered with mirrors so it looks like there is infinite space. There is a rotated room where you can take pictures that make it look like you are defying gravity. These are only a small sample of the many illusions that make up this exciting and amusing museum. The museum is full of a ton of exhibits which will shock, surprise, and/or amaze you. Sometimes, you won't even be able to believe your eyes. Not all the exhibits will appeal to all ages nor will all exhibits appeal to all people even if they are of similiar ages,  but there is sure to be some exhibits for everyone to enjoy at this very entertaining museum  Although the museum looks rather large from the outside when you are inside it looks much smaller, but it  is actually quite  jampacked with entertaining exhibits, and it could take quite a while to go through especially if you want to try everything. There is quite a lot to do and try. If you are looking for a fun family friendly Museum, The Museum of Illusions is a great choice.

  2. This would have been fun. Some of the illusions of perspective that sidewalk artists or muralists do are incredible!
