I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

A collaboration between Brooklyn musicians Jason Rabinowitz and Jacob Stein, The Pop Ups have been setting the standard for children’s music since 2010. Experimental Bitch Presents (EBP) is pleased to announce their 2019 mainstage production, the post-apocalyptic play Jack of Cups by Gabriel Rodriguez. The World Premiere runs May 31 – June 8 at The Flea Theater, with opening night slated for June 1 at 7:00 pm. Jack of Cups is directed by Rodriguez and Madeline Wall. Many years from now, long after The Flood That Drowned the World, a stranger, queerer, more loving world has sprouted from the rubble and ruins. Once a year, the many communities of this new world become one, gathering on a barren island for the Remembrance Festival. Amidst the games and food and drink, the sharing of knowledge and the telling of Big Stories, they are visited by a mysterious and legendary wanderer who has arrived to tell the biggest Big Story of all.

The New York Premiere Off-Broadway run of Siegmund Fuchs’ IN THE CLOSET, a stirring dramedy about ageism in the gay community that will begin a limited Off-Broadway engagement Wednesday, May 29, 2019 continuing through June 16, 2019 at Theatre Row’s Studio Theatre, (410 West 42nd Street).  Eli Carpenter will direct.  Mr. Fuchs lives in Washington, D.C., is an attorney for the United States Department of Justice, and his academic work focuses on abuse victims.


In The Closet centers around four men exploring the various reasons one might "closet" oneself in this cross-generational look at being in the closet, leaving the audience to wonder: Can any one of them ever walk out?


Performances, which begin on May 29th will be on Wednesdays through Saturday evenings at 8 pm, and Sunday matinees at 3 pm through June 16th. Out of the Box Theatrics announces an extension of the Off-Broadway Premiere of THE PINK UNICORN by Elise Forier Edie. Trisha Lee is a Christian widow living in a conservative Texas town. Her life is suddenly upended when her 14-year-old daughter Jolene announces she is genderqueer and starting a chapter of the Gay and Straight Alliance at the local high school. In THE PINK UNICORN, Trisha recounts her story about facing a crisis she never saw coming, at a time when transgender people and gender issues weren't even on her radar.
