I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

LIMITED ENGAGEMENT THROUGH MARCH 31, 2019
IN THE COMMUNITY SPACE THEATER AT THEATER FOR THE NEW CITY
(155 FIRST AVENUE)
Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Executive Artistic Director), in association with MBL Productions (Mary J. Davis, Producer), has announced, today, the cast and creative team for the New York premiere of the new play, Still at Risk by Tim Pinckney (Message to Michael). Performances begin Thursday, March 7, 2019 for a limited engagement through Sunday, March 31, 2019 in the Community Space Theater at Theater for the New City (155 First Avenue, between 9th & 10th Streets).
Kevin, a surviving activist from the front lines of the AIDS crisis, finds himself struggling to find his place and purpose in contemporary gay culture. When a gay fundraising event threatens to erase the history he was part of creating, Kevin's anger and passion are renewed and he is confronted with the challenge of how to motivate change in this new climate of visibility. Along the way, Kevin’s raw and slightly unhinged methods provoke everyone who can help him, damage long friendships and eventually expose some dark secrets. Hilarious, sharp, and deeply moving, Still at Risk is a powerful look at the personal and political hazards of rewriting the past and one man's attempt to move forward.
Still at Risk will play the following performance schedule: Tuesday – Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
NOW ON SALE, tickets for Still at Risk are priced at $25 and may be purchased online at www.smarttix.com.

17) News from Spin Cycle NYC

Now Playing 55 Shades of Gay: Balkan Spring of Sexual Revolutions
55 Shades of Gay: Balkan Spring of Sexual Revoultion, a contemporary farce about LGBT politics in the Balkans written by Jeton Neziraj and directed by Blerta Neziraj began performances on February 28 and runs through March 17 at La MaMa (66 East 4th Street). Running time is 70 minutes.
s America prepares to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, 55 SHADES OF GAY pulls back the curtain to reveal the state of gay rights in The Balkans. In the play, a gay couple apply to get married in a conservative, deeply homophobic provincial town. They make their request at a time when an Italian company has begun building a condom manufacturing factory in the town, a project that is financially supported by the European Union. Intellectuals, artists, politicians, religious leaders and professional grenade launchers try to stop the marriage from happening, despite the fact that same-sex marriage is technically permitted by the country's Constitution, which the Prime Minister signed according to a mandate from the EU. This provocative, broadly comic, politically incorrect performance poses the question: “Is sexual liberation possible in the Balkans?”

The Flea Theater presents
SOUTHERN PROMISES

The Flea ends its Color Brave season bringing this haunting reality onto the stage of The Sam.

SOUTHERN PROMISES runs March 11 through April 14,Thursdays through Mondays at 7p.m., with Sunday matinees at 3 p.m.  Tickets start at $17 with the lowest priced tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Flea Theater is located at 20 Thomas Street between Church and Broadway, three blocks north of Chambers, close to the A/C/E, N/Q/R/W, 4/5/6, J/M/Z and 1/2/3 subway lines.
