I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Me - Finding Neverland was a good show. It is the story of JM Barrie the creator of Peter Pan. I previously saw this show when it was on Broadway and really enjoyed it. There were  a few changes in the music from the Broadway version which I didn't really like. I preferred the original versions from the Broadway production. Otherwise, this particular production was well done. The actors did a nice job with their roles. The singing voices were pretty. The songs in the show are beautiful. They are a lot nicer than I expected them to be the first time I saw the show. I don't have a favorite song because I like too many of them. After I saw the show, the first time, I got the soundtrack, and I listened to it a lot since then. So I was really looking forward to hearing the songs sung live again.  I was not disappointed. The show has an interesting plot. It tells the inspiration behind Peter Pan. It makes much more sense than Peter and the Starcatcher which also has to do with Peter Pan's backstory. That show was more about what happened before Peter Pan became Peter Pan, and this one was more about how and why JM Barrie decided to create Peter Pan. There is a really cute dog in the show too. I am not sure if the dog is the same as the dog that was in the Broadway show but it looks exactly the same The dog even gets a curtain call. I would recommend seeing this show if it comes to your town or a town near you.

Mom - Finding Neverland is a musical based on the nonmusical movie of the same name about how JM Barrie's relationship with Sylvia Llewelyn Davies and her four young sons inspired him to write Peter Pan. It is a really touching story with beautiful music that you will want to listen to again and again. There are lovely ballads like Neverland and All That Matters and fun upbeat songs like We Own the Night and Something About This Night. It is important to note, however, especially if you attend the show and choose to purchase the soundtrack that a couple of the opening numbers and the finale have been changed from the Broadway version of the show for some unknown reason. In all other respects, the touring version of the show is very similar to and equally as good as the production that appeared on Broadway. The acting is equally good. The singing voices are equally lovely.  All in all, it is terrific show that despite its connection to a story that is usually considered a children's story, is not only meant for children, but is an engaging and entertaining show for the whole family.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for a Funtivity Friday.
