I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Exhibitionism: 50 Years of the Museum at FIT

What: Exhibitionism: 50 Years of the Musem at FIT

Where: Seventh Avenue at 27th St.
             New York, NY

Who: Teens and Up

When: Through April 20, 2019

Me  & Mom - Exhibitionism is an exhibit celebrating the history of the Museum at FIT. They put together a bunch of mini exhibits made up of fashions from various exhibits that have been displayed in the museum over the years. In its history the museum's exhibits have varied a lot. There have been exhibits based around a particular designer, exhibits based around a particular style, exhibits based around  a particular time period and even more specific exhibits like one based around fairy tale influenced clothing or one based around clothing meant for extreme conditions of all types, such as extreme heat, extreme cold or underwater.  Some previous exhibits included in the current exhibit are Global Fashion Capital, China Chic East Meets West, Adrian Retrospective, and Hello Again Recycling for the Real World. Each section of the exhibit  includes written information describing what the exhibit was about. If you have been to the Museum at FIT before, it is a fun look back at exhibits from the past. If you have never been to the Museum before it is a fun look at fashion of all types throughout history. While there is no specific age limit for the museum, it would probably be most interesting to teens and above unless a child of a younger age is especially interested in fashion. The exhibit is open Tuesday - Friday 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is completely free.
