I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Me & Mom - If you are interested in a fun and quirky exhibit, you won't want to miss Hattitudes going on now at the Art & Design Gallery at FIT. This exhibit of fascinating hat sculptures was put together by students at FIT from a collection of hats reprenting various eras donated by former dean and faculty member, Professor Nina Curtis. Some of the highlights of the collection include a hat Sculpture made up to be the Truffla trees from The Lorax, a horse related hat scultpure complete with horseshoe and blue ribbon, and a Hollywood hat sculpture complete with reel of film. The exhibit is quite amusing, and it can be enjoyed by anyone as long as they are old enough to be able to keep their hands off. The exhibit is not very big but contains quite  a lot of hats. However, even if you wish to stop and look really carefully at every hat in the collection, it probably shouldn't take more than half an hour to go through. If you want to see the exhibit, don't wait too long, Hattiudes will only be open through  March 14, 2019. Admission is free. For more, visit www.fitnyc.edu/art-and-design/exhibitions/index.php.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday.
