2 - The Museum of the Moving Image - This museum has lots of fun interactive exhibits related to films and a whole exhibit on Jim Henson and the muppets.

3- The Whitney Museum of American Art - Although you might not think this is the kind of museum children would enjoy, there are fun things for kids to do here. There is a special tour for kids as well as changing art projects to do related to some of the artworks in the museum's galleries.
