I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Ballet Hispánico in collaboration with the Apollo Theater makes its annual return to the Apollo stage, led by Eduardo Vilaro in his seventh season as Artistic Director. A trio of works will draw upon the innovation and versatility of one of the world's premier dance companies to capture contemporary Latino culture through movement.

The World Premiere of Línea Recta, choreographed by Belgo-Colombian Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and co-commissioned by the Apollo Theater, pairs the hallmark passion of flamenco dance with innovative and intricate partnering, performed to live Spanish guitar. The evening also features Cuban-American Eduardo Vilaro's Danzón, which puts a contemporary spin on the national dance of Cuba, and Spaniard Gustavo Ramírez Sansano's colorful, amusing and fast-moving Flabbergast, set to music by Juan García Esquivel.

A special introductory reading of the original children's story will be given from the stage by television, movie, and Broadway star, Annie Potts.

Beginning performances Tuesday, November 15NATHANIEL STAMPLEY will assume the role of Mister in John Doyle’s Tony Award-winning production of the Broadway musical, THE COLOR PURPLE.  ISAIAH JOHNSON, who originated the role, will give his final performance on Sunday, November 13.

NATHANIEL STAMPLEY assumes the role of Mister after performing in the original company of the 2005 Broadway production of THE COLOR PURPLE. He has also performed on Broadway in The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess and The Lion King. Nathaniel appeared in the national tour of The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess as Porgy. His off-Broadway and regional credits include Big Love (Signature Theatre), City Center’s Encores!’s Fiorello! and Lost in the StarsFirst Noel(Classical Theatre of Harlem), Man of La Mancha (Jeff Award, Marriott Theatre), Pacific Overtures (Chicago Shakespeare Theater), Milwaukee Repertory Theater’s Dreamgirls and Man of La Mancha, and Apple Tree Theatre’s Violet and Big River (Jeff Award nomination). He is a graduate of UW-Madison and a Ten Chimneys Fellow.
