I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

More Theater Monday - Othello

We received complimentary tickets to Othello for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: Othello

Where: West End Theatre
The Church of St. Paul & St. Andrew
              263 W. 86th St.
              New York, NY

Who: Recommended for Ages 13 and Up

When: Through May 31, 2026

The cast of Bedlam's Othello consists of only 4  actors who, between them, take on 19 different roles, and they do so brilliantly. The performances are so nuanced that even when an actor is playing more than one characters in a scene, perhaps even characters who are talking to each other, it is easy to keep track of who is who.  The performances are incredibly real and believable. There is not a bit of showboating or loftiness about them. They make these characters, and this story come alive in such an exciting and authentic way that even if you don't think you enjoy Shakespeare, you may still enjoy this show.
