I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Theater Thursday: Living and Breathing

We were given complimentary tickets to Living and Breathing for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own,

What: Living and Breathing

Where: Two River Theater
             21 Bridge Ave.
             Red Bank, NJ

Who: Recommended for Ages 15 and Up

When: Through February 26, 2023

Living and Breathing is an incredibly thought-provoking play.  In this extremely well-written play, a trio of friends discovers some truths about themselves when one of them purchases a human statute. The show has a lot to say about innate prejudices and stereotypes that we may not even be aware of but that drive our interactions with and reactions to each other. It is terrifically performed by a quartet of actors with a special shout-out to Carlos Ibarra as Reuben who does an excellent job of spending long periods of time on stage silent and motionless, which is surely a lot harder than it looks. If you like a show that is more than simple entertainment, but rather one that really engages your intellect in an active manner, you may enjoy this one.
