I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - CMS at 50

What: CMS at 50

Where: New York Library of the Performing Arts
             40 Lincoln Center Plaza
             New York, NY

Who: Teens and above

When: Through March 7, 2020

Mom's view: In 1969, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center was formed with Alice Tully as its first chair. On September 11 of that year, Alice Tully Hall opened and the Chamber Music Society gave its first performance. Since that time, numerous performances for all ages have been presented. both at Lincoln Center and on tour as well as on the radio. Some performances have been made available for live streaming. In celebration of the Chamber Music Society's recent 50th birthday, an exhibit is currently on display at the New York Library for the Performing Arts. The exhibit not only focuses on the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center but provides a history of the genre as well and includes numerous pictures, a historic timeline, and even provides the opportunity to listen to and watch actual recordings of Chamber Music Society performances. Whether you want to revisit the history of this historic music society, you want to learn about it or chamber music in general for the first time or you just want to listen to some great classical music, you will enjoy this exhibit.

And that's Mom's view.
