I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Let's Talk About Trivial Pursuit

Me -  Trivial Pursuit is a super fun game. There are lots of different versions. I like to play the Junior edition. I also like to play the family edition. The Disney version is surprisingly hard. I  wasn't really alive for a lot of things they talk about in the game. We have a lot of versions at home, but I would like to get more. One version I would like to get is the Americana version. Also, I would like to get the RPM version which is all about music. That one would probably have a lot of stuff from before my time though that I wouldn't necessarily know. We have a Trivial Pursuit book too. The book is pretty good. In the game, I don't like the history categories because they bore me. The science categories bore me too. I like the sports but my Mom knows more than I do and that annoys me. I like the entertainment categories a lot.  Sometimes, we go to this restaurant Cheeburger Cheeburger. There are Cheeburger Cheeburgers in a lot of different states but not all of them. I like to go there because they have Trivial Pursuit cards on the table, and we always have fun taking turns reading the questions and trying to guess the answers. Trivial Pursuit is a great game because in Trivial Pursuit they found a way to make an intellectual game fun.*

Mom-  Trivial Pursuit is my favorite game because I love trivia. Also, I am really good at remembering things both trivial things and not so trivial things. I love that the more you remember the better you are at playing the game. I love that there are so many different questions and answers that every single time you play the game is completely different. I love that there are so many different versions of the game. There are versions for all different ages like baby boomers and juniors. There are versions for people with different interests like an all music version, an all TV version, an all movie version and an all sports version. There are Disney versions and Nickelodeon versions. There is an Americana version. There are handheld electronic versions. There are electronic versions for video game consoles. There is a family version with different questions for kids and adults. There are Trivial Pursuit card games. There is a Trivial Pursuit team game. There are Trivial Pursuit versions for different decades like the 60s,  80s and the 90s. I am not sure if there is a 70's version, however.  I have never seen one. There are DVD versions of Trivial Pursuit. There are specialized versions like a  Dr. Who version, and a Beatles version and a Star Wars Version.  There are Trivial Pursuit books. Some are just puzzle books. Some are books with questions and answers like the game. For about a year in the 90's, there was also a Trivial Pursuit game show on television. There was an interative aspect to the game where home viewers where given the chance to call in and answer a question and win a prize and if they won, then later they got to compete in a  playoff to win a vacation.. In 1993, there was even a home game of the TV version called Trivial Pursuit Game Show. There was also a Trivial Pursuit arcade game around the same time. I don't know if they still make new versions of Trivial Pursuit. However, even if it is not as popular as it used to be, I still love it.

And that's our view. What is your favorite version of Trivial Pursuit?

Tune in tomorrow for Tips for Tuesday.
