I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

When: Through February 24, 2019

Mom - Although there is some interaction between  Laoina Michelle as Nina Simone and the real band members who portray her band members in Little Girl Blue - The Nina Simone Musical, basically the show is a one woman tour de force. Ms. Michelle not only stars in the musical but she wrote it as well. As an actress, she is fierce as evidentally was the woman she is portraying.  The songs are an eclectic mix some by Ms. Simone and some by other writers. If you grew up in the 60s or 70s, you are sure to recognize at least some of them. Ms. Michelle does a good  job with the songs, and her voice is pretty. The show seems a little long at times especially for a one woman show. It runs just over 2 hours. However, over all it is an interesting portrait of a fascinating woman.

And that's Mom's view. Tune in Saturday for a Saturday special.
