I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Mom - We recently had the opportunity to attend Savion Glover's All Funk'd Up, the concert at the State Theatre New Jersey. The show is a combination of a tap dance show and a concert. However, it is a little too much of both and yet not enough of either. While Glover is clearly talented and his skills are quite impressive, the show itself was quite repetitive. For the most part Glover just seemed to be repeating the same skills over and over again with a different step or two thrown in occasionally. I wasn't quite sure if the routine was actually choreographed or if he was just ad libbing as he went along. If he was ad libbing maybe it would have been better if it had been choreographed in advance. The only variety in the show was one section of the show where a couple of other tap dancers joined Glover on stage. That was by far the highlight of the event. It was quite impressive how Glover could sing and tap dance at the same time without even getting out of breath the few times when he took the mike during the show. However, that is about all that was impressive about the show. Accordingly, although Savion Glover is a talented dancer and choreographer, there has to be a better opportunity to see his skills on display than this show.

And that's Mom's view. Tune in tomorrow for this week's Sunday Scoop.
