I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Giveaway: Win a copy of Choices in the Dashing Giveaway Hop!

Welcome to  the Dashing Giveaway Hop hosted by MamatheFox

Although most of us probably haven't actually been dashing through the snow in a one horse open sleigh, it seems like it would be fun. Sometimes, we rapidly go from one place to another because we want to. Sometimes, we do because we need to. It could be just because we are late for an appointment or are in rush to get some place else. However, sometimes, people have much more serious reasons for rushing away from a place. Sometimes, they need to escape. Choices is the story of a one family's escape from one country to another. There have been many stories of various people escaping from various locations during World War II. However, just because the war ended didn't mean things instantly got  better for everyone, in fact for some people things got worse. This is the story of one such family. This is the story of the Laufer family's escape from communist Hungary. It is told by the youngest member of the Laufer family who was just a baby when she and her parents and brother fled there homeland for freedom in the West. It is a short but fascinating book that focuses on the good people they met along the way and not the horrors of what they left behind.  For more information, visit Tips for Tuesday - Books: Choices.
