I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Giveaway: Win a Copy of Daditude: the Joys & Absurdities of Modern Fatherhood by Chris Erskine

Welcome to the What A Man Giveaway Hop hosted by Savings in Seconds,

Father's Day gives us a chance to celebrate the wonderful men in our lives. Whether he's a dad, grandfather, uncle, or a kind neighbor, we honor the men who share their time, money, and wisdom. This giveaway event runs from June 2 through June 16, 2018. Enter all of the giveaways linked below. There is no limit to how many prizes you can win. Good luck!

Chris Erskine is a newspaper columnist who writes about the craziness of being a father in the modern world. His columns are filled with both love and hilarity. Now, his best work has been collected into a book, Daditude the Joys & Absurdities of Modern Fatherhood. There are columns about his kids picking out a Christamas tree that could give the scrawny tree Charlie Brown picked out in the famous Christmas special a run for its money, about the importance of hair, prayer and laughter on the soccer field, about the agony of running his first and only marathon and more. For more about this book, see our previous post Tips for Tuesday - Books: Daditude the Joys & Absurdities of Modern Fatherhood. Enter to win this book below:

  1. I only gave my dad clothes for Father's Day. Looking back, I'm pretty sure those were the only new clothes he ever wore! The best gift I gave was probably a fly fishing kit for my husband, he really liked it.
