I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Funtivity Friday - Art Projects: Ice Cream Cones

Today we are making cardboard ice cream cones. Below are two different ways to make them or you can make up your own.


Ice Cream Cone #1

What You Will Need

cardboard toilet paper tube
markers
cotton balls
colored tissue paper
small red pom pom
sequins
glue

What to Do

1) Cut a cone shape out of cardboard toilet paper tube and glue it together.

2) Use a marker to make an ice cream cone pattern on it.

3) Glue cotton balls inside the cone for vanilla ice cream

4) Drape with tissue paper for syrup.

5) Add a small red pom pom to the top for a cherry.

6) Add sequins for sprinkles.




Ice Cream Cone #2

What You Need

Toilet paper tube
cotton bowls
brown marker
pink yarn
glue

What to Do

1) Cut a cone shape out of the toilet paper tube and glue it together.

2) Color a cotton ball with brown marker.

3) Glue brown cotton ball in cone for chocolate ice cream.

4) Glue white cotton ball on top of the brown cotton ball for vanilla ice cream.

5) Roll a tiny ball of pink yarn and glue to top of white cotton ball for strawberry ice cream.
