I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Funtivity Friday - Fun Things to Do During a Power Outage

This week our area along with many others was hit by severe winter storms and for a while we even lost power. Accordingly, we came up with this list of fun things to do when you are cooped up inside and you don't have any electricity.

1) Read - Settle in with a good book or a magazine or any other form of reading material.

2) Write - Write a story a poem or anything else that strikes your fancy.

3) Play games - You can play a board game, a card game, or even a game you make up.

4) Puzzles - Do a crossword puzzle or some other kind of  word puzzle or maybe a jigsaw puzzle.

5) Quizzes - If you have a quiz book you can do that or you can make up quizzes for each other to take

6) Art - Draw, paint or do any other art  project you want with the supplies you have available.

7) Sing - Take turns singing or all sing together

8) Talk- This is a great time to just have an old fashioned conversation instead of texting, instant messaging or e-mailing.

What do you do for fun when you have no electricity?

Enjoy and stay warm and dry!

Tune in Sunday for this week's Sunday Scoop.
