I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday: East Jersey Old Town Village

What:
East Jersey Old Town Village

Where: 1050 River Rd.
             Piscataway, NJ

Who: All ages

East Jersey Old Town Village is a circa 18th/19th-century village. It consists of historically restored buildings consistent with those that would have been in the area at that time. These buildings are now located in a section of Middlesex County's Johnson Park. The buildings contain archaeological discoveries from the local area as well as historic clothing, furniture, and more. The collection provides an overview of the area's history.

Historic interpreters can be found throughout the village who can provide further information. They also offer demonstrations of various trades and crafts. Numerous special events are also held throughout the year, including History Day, a Roaring 20's Jazz Party, old-time baseball games, and more.

There is no fee to visit East Jersey Old Town Village. The village is open year-round. Hours do vary seasonally, however.

And that's our view. For more about East Jersey Old Town Village, go to www.middlesexcountynj.gov.
