I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Likewise is a coming-of-age drama about a young girl named Joey written by and starring Kiera Moran, who skillfully takes on a variety of additonal roles with quick changes of voice and tone. The show is billed as a comedy, but it is more of a dark comedy dealing with such serious matters as attempted suicide and assault, which may be triggering to some people. The irreverent handling of the suicide attempt may particularly offend some people.

The show does a good job of depicting what it's like growing up and trying to navigate friendships while immersed in the self-centeredness of being a teen. It is at times funny, but often kind of heartbreaking. Throughout much of the show, it's hard to know what to think or feel because of the unreliable narration of the main character; however, the ending is surprisingly touching.

And that's our view.  Likewise was part of 59E59's East to Edinburgh Festival and will soon be heading to the festival. For more information or to purchase tickets to see it there, visit
