I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

More Theater Monday - An Ideal Husband

We received complimentary tickets to An Ideal Husband for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: An Ideal Husband

Where: Gural Theatre/A.R.T. New York
             502 W. 53rd St.
             New York, NY

Who: Recommended for Ages 12 and Up

When: Through February 21, 2026

Oscar Wilde's An Ideal Husband first premiered in 1895. Yet, this show about blackmail, political scandal, social morals, and more, may even be more relevant than ever. However, the subject matter is not presented in a heavy-handed way but rather with Wilde's trademark humor.

You definitely won't want to miss the Storm Theatre's current excellent production of the show. While the performances are good all around,  a few in particular really stand out. Connie Castanzo is a force to be reckoned with as the conniving Mrs. Chevely. Chase Bishop is oozing with charm as the not quite as frivolous as he may seem Lord Goring. Evangelina Kingsley is adorably amusing as the slightly doddering Lady Markby.  All in all, this is definitely a show worth seeing.

And that's our view. For more information about An Ideal Husband or to purchase tickets, visit www.stormtheatre.com.

Tune in tomorrow for Tips for Tuesday.
