I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Books: Great Second Acts and Misc: Mary's Gone Crackers

We may have been given one or more of the books and/or other products listed below for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Books: Great Second Acts

Today we are recommending Great Second Acts by Marlene Wagman-Geller. Even though society often greatly underappreciates older women,  many older women have excelled and achieved great success in their later years. Ruth Gordon won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 72 and was just hitting her stride then. Ruth Bader Ginsburg was still serving on the Supreme Court in her 80s. Sister Megan Good was leading protests against nuclear weapons in her 80s. These women are only a small sample of the amazing women covered in this book. The book is chock full of the true stories of incredible women whose lives and achievements will inspire you. If you want proof that not only is there no cutoff age for women's success but that women can definitely attain greatness in numerous fields in their later years, you will want to read this book.

Misc: Mary's Gone Crackers

Today we are talking about Mary's Gone Crackers.  If you are looking for a healthier snack option, you might want to give these crackers s a try. They are plant-based, organic, gluten-free, and non-GMO. They come in several different flavors including  Olive Oil + Black Pepper, Tomato + Basil, Herb, and Sea Salt. The flavors vary in intensity but none of the flavors are too overwhelming. If you are looking for healthy crackers with just a hint of flavor, you might enjoy these.
