Books: Great Second Acts
Today we are recommending Great Second Acts by Marlene Wagman-Geller. Even though society often greatly underappreciates older women, many older women have excelled and achieved great success in their later years. Ruth Gordon won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 72 and was just hitting her stride then. Ruth Bader Ginsburg was still serving on the Supreme Court in her 80s. Sister Megan Good was leading protests against nuclear weapons in her 80s. These women are only a small sample of the amazing women covered in this book. The book is chock full of the true stories of incredible women whose lives and achievements will inspire you. If you want proof that not only is there no cutoff age for women's success but that women can definitely attain greatness in numerous fields in their later years, you will want to read this book.
