Welcome to the Mother's Day Giveaway Hop
hosted by Review Wire Media and Chatty Patty's Place
Some mothers have furry children. This giveaway is for them. A Thousand Lifetimes by Maria Reich is the story of a woman and the four legged babies who blessed her life. It is mainly the story of Maria and her deaf pitbull, Celeste but it is also about the other dogs who have been a part of Maria's life and family. The story is uniquely told through the alternating points of view of Maria and Celeste. Anybody who has a furry family member and/or who loves animals will enjoy this touching book. Aww! How cute! Thanks for visiting Says Me Says Mom and for your comment.
DeleteAbout four years ago my crazy black cat Ozzy was chasing our orange & white cat Buddy around upstairs through the hallway real fast, and buddy decided to jump up on the windowsill while the window was open. Well it ended up not so good for Buddy because he hit the screen out and went flying out and down to the ground. It's a good thing that cats have 9 lives because they really do need all of them as crazy as they are.
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky. My brother's cat fell out of a window, and she was never the same. Thanks for visiting Says Me Says Mom and your comment. Stay well!
DeleteI commented on the non-giveaway post; (Pasta)
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know and for visiting Says Me Says Mom. Stay well!
DeleteWhen we had to go somewhere we would put our Chihuahua puppy in her crate. We put newspaper down on the bottom and when we got home all the paper was ripped into little pieces and all outside the pen.
ReplyDeleteOur cat always used to rip up the toilet paper when she was little. Thanks for visiting Says Me Says Mom and your comment. Stay well!
DeleteOne day shortly after I adopted my Chihuahua, he and I were out in the front yard. He was quite timid and clingy at the time and stuck very close to me so he had no leash on. Suddenly he took off after a jeep going down the street barking in his shrill little voice. After he had chased it halfway down the street he came back looking pleased as punch. Seeing that little 9 lb dog chasing a jeep was pretty hilarious. I'm sure he thought he chased it away. Needless to say, I learned my lesson. He has never been out of the house without his leash and collar on since unless he is in the fenced in backyard.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny! Thanks for sharing and for visiting Says Me Says Mom. Stay well.
DeleteSeveral years ago, our cat went missing. We looked everywhere and finally combed the neighborhood. A couple of days later, we kept hearing what sounded like heavy breathing in the ceiling. Turns out, she got stuck in the ductwork in the ceiling. She hadn't figured out that all she needed to do was to go to one of the vents and meow. We were relieved to have found her and good thing we found her when we did. She was almost flat as a pancake from the heat. We brought her down and put her in front of a fan, and she was good as new within about 20 minutes. Scary episode for both of us, but funny in hindsight.
ReplyDeleteWe had a similar issue with our cat. We had a panel missing in the ceiling of our basement and our cat kept climbing up there. Thanks for visiting Says Me Says Mom. Stay well!
