Mom's view: The Arts & Learning Conservatory of Costa Mesa, CA production of The Addams Family is now available for free streaming through Goldstar. This quirky show is based on the Addams Family television  show from the 1960s and the two feature films from the 1990s. It played on Broadway briefly in 2010 and 2011. Although the plot is thin, the songs are mostly fun especially When You're An Adams and Full Disclosure. The  production is not necessarily up to the caliber of other youth  musical performances, we have seen previously. The voices are a little weak at times and the performers seem to be playing to the stereotypes of the characters rather than really making the characters their own.  However, the performances are lively and full of energy and all of the performers really seem to be enjoying themselves. Their joy is contagious and definitely something we all can use these days.
