I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Memory Palaces: Inside the Collection of Audrey B. Heckler

What: Memory Palaces: Inside the Collection of Audrey B. Heckler

Where: American Folk Art Museum
             2 Lincoln Square
             New York, NY

Who: Teens and Up

When: Through January 26, 2020

Mom's view: The current exhibit at the American Folk Art Museum is quite an eclectic collection. It includes the work of many different artists including Emery Blagdon, Aloise Corboz, and Augustin Lesage. It's main unifying theme is that it is part of the collection of Audrey B. Heckler, a longtime patron of the museum. She is one of the leading collectors of artwork by self taught artists. The focus of the exhibit is on each individual artist and their work of art. It is is called Memory Places because it is all about what memories each work of art evokes in each individual. If you are interested in seeing this unique collection, you only have a few days because the exhibit will be closing on January 26. 2020.
