I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Directorfest 2020

We were given free tickets to a Directorfest for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: Directorfest 2020

Where: See website at https://directorfest.org/home for locations of specific productions.

When: Now through February 4, 2020
See website for dates and times of specific productions https://directorfest.org/home

Mom's view: There are so many places where actors can train and have the opportunity to practice their craft. Playwrights and composers can try out their plays and musicals in festivals and workshops. DirectorFest provides a similar opportunity for up and coming directors. It gives them the chance to take the next step in developing their skills by directing a complete production with full cast and crew and have it presented live in front of an audience.  Directors who previously participated in DirectorFest and are currently represented on Broadway include Diane Paulus (Jagged Little Pill), Alex Timbers (Moulin Rouge) and Christopher Ashley (Come From Away). This year's festival is taking places now and will continue through February 4, 2020.

Tune in tomorrow for Tips for Tuesday.
