1) Mom names a show
2) Aurella picks out a song from the show and starts singing it
3) Mom picks out an arbitary word from the song Aurella is singing and looks up quotes related to that word until she finds a good one.
For example:
The show might be: Annie
The song might be: Tomorrow
The line might be: The sun will come out tomorrow
There are quotes about sun like:
May your sun always shine, and your sky be forever blue - a quote attributed to Jonathan Lockwood Huie
Every day is a good day to be alive, whether the sun's shining or not - a quote attributed to Marty Robbin
There are quotes about tomorrow
Tomorrow is promised to no one - a quote attributed to Clint Eastwood
Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today - a quote attributed to James Dean
You can even use the line itself as quote by attributing it to the songwriter.
Of course, some songs line are easier to find words to use as a starting points for finding quotes and some song lines don't really have any words that are good starting points for finding quotes. Howevever, eventually we find all our quotes for the month and have a little fun with Broadway show tunes in the process.
Of course, this would work with other kinds of songs too. We just generally prefer show tunes.
