Me - The Illusionists was fun. It was a magic show. There were five magicians. They all had different titles. They all did different magic. They were the Deductionist, the Trickster, the Daredevil, the Inventor, and the Manipulator. I saw the Manipulator, the Trickster and the Daredevil on Broadway a few years ago. Some of the tricks they did this time were the same, but some were different. The Daredevil had a different assistant. Last time, it was his wife. My favorite magician, this time, was the Deductionist. He did this trick where he was asking the audience numbers, and then they ended up being the exact date and time of The Ilusionists show we were watching. That was so cool! It was a really good show. Time passed really quickly when we wer watching the show. The show was 2 and 1/2 hours, but it felt a lot quicker. People of all ages would enjoy this show.
Mom - Anyone who loves magic will enjoy The Illusionists. It is a great opportunity to see a group of magicians doing different types of magic all in one show. The line up of magicians is not always the same for every tour. However, on this particular tour the magicians represented were as follows*: The Daredevil, Jonathan Goodwin an escape artist. The Deductionist, Colin Cloud a mind reader. The inventor, Kevin James who specializes in innovative magic. The Manipulator, An Ha Lim who works with cards, moving them around without touching them. The Trickster, Jeff Hobson, who is more of an old fashioned magician. His act is filled with comical banter as he performs his tricks. All of them have acts that will amaze you. All of them have tricks that will have you scratching your head and wondering how they did it. Although, some tricks may scare very young children or people who scare very easily, most people would really enjoy this show. It is extremely entertaining.
* Magicians subject to change and may not always be the same on all tour dates.
And that's our view. What is your favorite type of magic?
Tune in tomorrow for Tips for Tuesday.
