I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Giveaway: Win a copy of Mustaches for Maddie in the Two Turtles Doves Giveaway Hop!

Welcome to the Two Turtle Dove Giveaway Hop brought to you by The Hopping Bloggers!

Each giveaway has a value of a minimum of $15, however some are worth much more. Be sure to enter to win all of them because there is no limit to how many you can win. GOOD LUCK!

Maddie is a fun loving, big hearted teenage girl who loves mustaches. Her biggest problem is trying to stay on the good side of the class queen. Then, she starts walking funny and having trouble with her arm. It turns out that Maddie has a brain tumor and suddenly just surviving is her biggest problem. It may seem from this brief description that this would be a very depressing book. However, on the contrary, it is very sweet and uplifting and can be enjoyed by anyone not just the middle grade readers it was meant for. For more about Mustaches for Maddie see our previous post Tips for Tuesday: Mustaches for Maddie or visit www.mustachesformaddie.com/. Enter to win a copy below:

  1. "What is the most touching book you ever read?" Maybe a book of poetry by Anne Sexton--she had a very tragic life.

    1. The most touching book I ever read is Alex the Life of a Child. It is a book by Frank Deford about his daughter Alex who died ata young age of cystic fibrosis. The first chapter always makes me cry.
